Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store leadership professional to manage the Non-Food Department and act as Manager on Duty when required. You will ensure accurate cash handling, inventory control, merchandising effectiveness and customer service excellence in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will train associates, supervise scheduling, uphold safety standards, and maintain store presentation per company guidelines while collaborating with Store and Assistant Managers to protect assets and drive

Qualifications

Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
Ability to perform cash register functions accurately.
Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow merchandising plans and presentation guidance.
Willingness to obtain required food handling certifications.

Responsibilities

Manage Non-Food Department and store operations when designated as Manager on Duty.
Authorize refunds and overrides; count register; deposit money.
Maintain cash integrity, key control and security practices.
Train and assist employees; ensure proper stocking and presentation.
Ensure scheduling coverage; monitor performance and provide feedback.
Oversee inventory, pricing accuracy, and shelf readiness.
Direct receiving, merchandising, and layout per plan-o-gram.
Maintain safe, clean, and secure store environment.
