Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring for winter seasonal roles in Pennsylvania, with instructors delivering quality ski instruction to groups and individuals. You’ll provide world-class guest service in a fun, safe setting and support all snow sports school needs while working with guests of all ages.

The position offers pathways to higher earnings with teaching incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including passes, discounts, and wellness programs.

Job Specifications

Starting Wage:$20/hr

Pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may have opportunities to earn more withadditionalteaching incentives

Employment Type:Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

Shift Type:Part Timehours available.For Full-Time Instructors, a 40-hour workweek is not guaranteed. Scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume.

Job Requirements

Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain

Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older

Must be able to communicate fluently in English

Must be willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.

Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extendedperiod of time

Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, youhave the ability tobe a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

Lift Experience

Mountain Activities

Food and Beverage Support

Base Area Operations

Retail Rental Operations

Additionalrequirements for hires under age 18

Submission of a Parental Consent Form upon hire, along with other applicable documents required by state law; such as a work permit, physician's note, and/or proof of birthdate

The expected pay range is$20/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
