Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is hiring for winter 2026/27 across multiple roles including ski instructors. Starting wage is $20.00/hr with potential incentives for teaching.

Seasonal positions run through 2027 with housing available and benefits like free passes and lessons. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through December 15 or until filled. Qualifications

• Must be comfortable skiing on groomed blue terrain.

• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting safety standards.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr
  • Pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may have opportunities to earn more with additional teaching incentives

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Must be comfortable and competent skiing on groomed blue terrain
• Must be willing to work with guests of all ages and have a strong level of comfort with children aged 3 and older
• Must be able to communicate fluently in EnglishMust be willing to work weekends/Holidays
• Must be comfortable being in ski boots for extended period of time
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.

As a Non-Certified Ski Instructor, you have the ability to be a flexible employee who works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one-resort mentality which could include:

• Lift Experience
• Mountain Activities
• Food and Beverage Support
• Base Area Operations
• Retail Rental Operations

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
