Job summary

Staffmark Group seeks an experienced Non-CDL Yard Hostler for night shift in Miami, FL. This seasonal opportunity offers full-time and part-time positions with weekly pay, safety-focused yard work, and no over-the-road driving.

Responsibilities include moving trailers, coupling/uncoupling, and basic inspections while maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy yard. CDL is not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable yard hostling/yard jockey experience within the past 3 years.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years.
• Ability to work the 12:00 AM-7:00 AM shift.

• Shuttle trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spaces.
• Safely couple and uncouple trailers, including connecting and disconnecting air lines.
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Follow yard safety procedures and dispatch instructions.
• Communicate with yard personnel regarding trailer movements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused professionals with recent yard hostling experience to support peak-season operations.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a yard hostler/yard goat to move and position trailers throughout the facility.
• Shuttle trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spaces.

Driving Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable yard hostling/yard jockey experience within the past 3 years.
• Experience operating a yard hostler, yard goat, or similar equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL is NOT required.
• Good driving record with no more than a combined 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the past 36 months.
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years.
• Ability to safely maneuver, couple, and uncouple trailers.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Available to work the 12:00 AM-7:00 AM shift, including assigned weekdays or weekends.
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
