Job summary

Staffmark Group in Cleveland, OH is hiring two experienced Non-CDL Yard Hostlers for overnight shifts. This seasonal, full- and part-time opportunity offers home daily with weekly pay and a consistent route through the facility.

You'll safely move and position trailers, shuttle between docks, perform basic inspections, and follow yard safety procedures. A valid license and 6 months of yard hostling experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of verifiable yard hostling in the past 3 years.
• Experience operating a yard goat or similar equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong backing and trailer maneuvering skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers using a yard hostler to support yard operations.
• Shuttle trailers between dock doors and staging areas.
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Follow yard safety procedures and dispatch instructions.
• Communicate trailer movements with yard personnel.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Seasonal Assignment - Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities
• Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM (Overnight Shift)
• Coverage Needed: 7 Days Per Week
• Weekday and weekend opportunities - Flexible scheduling based on driver availability and operational needs
• Home Daily - No Over-the-Road Driving

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a yard hostler/yard goat to move and position trailers throughout the facility.
• Shuttle trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spaces.
• Safely couple and uncouple trailers, including connecting and disconnecting air lines.
• Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Follow yard safety procedures and dispatch instructions.
• Communicate with yard personnel regarding trailer movements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
