Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a Seasonal Salt Truck Driver in Michigan. No CDL? No problem—a Chauffeur's License is enough to join and help keep parking lots safe during snowy months.

This is a part-time, seasonal role with on-call nights, days, holidays, and weekends as needed. Key duties include driving non-CDL salt trucks, monitoring weather conditions, and ensuring timely de-icing. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one).
• MDOT license required (company will assist in acquiring one).
• Non-CDL salt truck driving experience preferred.
• Ability to work on-call including nights, days, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive non-CDL salt trucks to distribute salt and de-icing materials on commercial parking lots.
• Monitor weather conditions and parking lot surfaces to ensure timely response.
• Contribute to keeping the community safe during winter.
• Perform snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Submit hours, activities, and materials in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete training, onboarding, and route learning; participate in safety programs.

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Drive Non CDL salt trucks to distribute salt and de-icing materials on commercial parking lots
• Monitor weather conditions and parking lot surfaces to ensure timely response
• Play a vital role in keeping our community safe during winter
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one)
