Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a Seasonal Salt Truck Driver to help keep commercial parking lots safe during winter. No CDL? No problem—Chauffeur's License is sufficient, and MDOT endorsement assistance is offered.

You will drive non-CDL salt trucks, monitor weather and surface conditions, and respond quickly to snow and ice events. The role is part-time and seasonal, with on-call nights, holidays, and weekends. Training is provided to ensure safety and route proficiency.

Qualifications

• Drive non-CDL salt trucks to distribute salt and de-icing materials.
• Monitor weather conditions and parking lot surfaces for timely response.
• Snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Submit hours, activities and materials accurately and promptly.
• Complete training, onboarding and route learning.
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays and weekends.
• Must have access to reliable transportation and endure extreme weather.
• Must be 18 years or older; valid Chauffeurs License (company assists).

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Drive Non CDL salt trucks to distribute salt and de-icing materials on commercial parking lots
• Monitor weather conditions and parking lot surfaces to ensure timely response
• Play a vital role in keeping our community safe during winter
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Smart Phone
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
