Ginsberg’s Foods in Hudson, NY is seeking a full-time Non CDL Box Truck Driver to join our team. You’ll work Monday through Friday, with home nightly and weekends off, and overtime after 40 hours.

The position offers competitive pay at $25.50 per hour and weekly pay. You’ll load and unload, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and deliver to customers, accurately logging deliveries while adhering to DOT rules.

What You’ll Need

• A valid Driver License with a clean record (no major violations in the past 36 months)
• Ability to lift and maneuver cases weighing 1-80 lbs.

• Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.

Essential Job Requirements

• Reports to work on time minutes (before the scheduled departure time) to prepare for the day’s work.
• Organizes the assigned paperwork for the day’s deliveries, and maintains accurate reports and daily logs.
• In accordance with Ginsberg’s Foods policy and procedures, conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer.
• Reviews driver manifest at beginning of each work day, matches the manifest invoice number with customer invoice number, and updates/adjusts manifests and invoices as necessary.
• Drives in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all DOT requirements and traffic laws and regulations.
• Adheres to all company safety programs and practices to ensure personal safety and the protection of company vehicles and/or equipment.
• Complies with all Ginsberg’s Foods delivery policies and procedures in order ensure the accuracy of the delivered product and to avoid personal injury and/or damage to the product.
• Physically unloads heavy product from the truck at customer locations using a hand truck and ramps.
• Navigates various surfaces, inclines, steps and stairs, while delivering product to the appropriate location (dry, cooler, frozen) at the customer’s place of business.
• Interacts in a professional manner with customers, attempting to resolve concerns as they arise.
• Receives cash from customers when necessary, and handles cash in accordance with company policy.
• May be required to perform same-day emergency or hot shot deliveries outside of the normal route schedule, including transportation of product between warehouses, cross docks, and customer locations.
