Job summary

Workforce Recruiter in Dothan, Alabama is seeking a nocturnist NP or PA to provide overnight hospitalist care for adults. You will work 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, perform rounds, manage admissions, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal outcomes in a patient-centered team.

Ideal candidates hold NP or PA licensure with board certification, inpatient or acute care experience, and strong clinical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Board certification is mandatory.
• Preferred inpatient, hospitalist, critical care, emergency medicine, or acute care experience.
• Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a physician-led team.

Responsibilities

• Perform 12-hour night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Deliver hospital-based care to adult patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Manage admissions, daily rounds, and cross-coverage duties.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostics tests, labs, and imaging.
• Adjust medications and treatments as required.
• Respond to changes in patient conditions overnight.
• Collaborate with doctors and leadership to improve care quality.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation and communication of patient activities.
