Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Charlotte, is seeking a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established Charlotte team. You’ll work with surgeons and staff in a busy, autonomous role in a central location.

Ideal candidates are NP or PA graduates with NC licensure, prescriptive privileges, and board certification (NCCPA for PAs or ACNP for NPs). The position includes 12-hour nocturnist shifts, 7-on/7-off rotation, and no call

Qualifikationen

• Graduated from an NP or PA program and licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• Prescriptive privileges and DEA license are required.
• NCCPA certification for PAs or ACNP for NPs is required.
• BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

Aufgaben

• Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, referral, and consultation with supervising physician.
• Maintains clinical competency appropriate to patient age and needs.
• Work independently with strong decision-making skills; collaborate with MDs, APPs and staff for inpatient management and coordination of care.
• Shifts: nocturnist 12-hour shifts, rotating 7on/7off with 14-off every 3rd cycle.
• Weekends and holidays required; travel to other sites may be required.
• No OR responsibilities; exposure to OR setting possible.
• Procedures listed include talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal, wound VAC placements.
