Job summary

Gtatelecom is seeking a NOC Technician for Houston, TX, in a hybrid, full-time role. You’ll serve as a Tier 2 escalation point for network incidents, spanning TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, and multi-vendor hardware.

Two shift options provide flexibility for overnight or daytime coverage with onsite requirements. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in NOC or technical support, strong debugging skills, and familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet gear.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in a NOC or technical support role.
• Hands-on networking experience with enterprise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs.
• Experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF.
• Troubleshooting voice/data/IP/transport and email systems.
• Familiar with Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Adtran, Fortinet gear.
• Experience with monitoring/ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents in a 24/7 NOC.
• Monitor networks and perform maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors/internal teams for escalation.
• Document incidents and actions taken for customers and internal use.
