Job summary

Omni Fiber is seeking a skilled NOC Engineer (2nd shift) to join our Network Operations team. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair incidents in service provider environments, focusing on fiber broadband services and MPLS, with hands-on work on routing and switching.

This role requires at least 2 years in a NOC, experience with Fiber PON, DSL, or cable networks, and a customer‑focused mindset. You will collaborate across teams, document procedures, and help implement reliability initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years in a service provider NOC in a Tier 2 or higher role.
Experience supporting Fiber PON, DSL, or Cable broadband networks.
“Experience configuring and troubleshooting service provider routing and switching technologies.”
Strong understanding of broadband technologies, MPLS VPNs, and residential fiber services.

Responsibilities

Monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and document network incidents and escalations from Tier 1 support.
Diagnose routing, switching, broadband, and commercial circuit issues across provider environments.
Provision and deprovision network elements and customer circuit services.
Develop repeatable troubleshooting procedures and participate in change management and incident response.
