Job summary

Midco is hiring for 2 NOC Technician I positions in Sioux Falls. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and support Midco's multi-service network to ensure reliable delivery of video, internet, voice, and enterprise services.

You will identify, analyze, and coordinate resolution of network events while collaborating with internal teams and vendors to maintain service reliability. The role involves monitoring a wide range of services, documenting events, and participating in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 1 year of technical support or networking experience.
• Familiar with network monitoring and incident management.
• Onsite role with shifts as described (evenings/weekends as needed).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching concepts appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support Midco's multi-service network to identify events, impairments, and outages.
• Evaluate alarms and service disruptions to determine appropriate response actions.
• Troubleshoot network incidents using established tools and procedures.
• Document network events, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and resolutions.
• Coordinate restoration during outages and assist in identifying root causes.
• Communicate events and impacts with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance with validation and checks.
• Perform proactive surveillance and trend analysis for improvement.
