Job summary

The NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a NOC Technician in Kotzebue, AK to monitor network performance, respond to alerts, and assist customers with connectivity issues. You will use SolarWinds, SNMP, and vendor tools to triage problems and escalate complex cases to Tier 2/3 as needed.

This on-site role requires strong communication, on-call availability nights and weekends, and adherence to security policies including MFA and RADIUS usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years in a help desk, NOC, or similar technical support role.
• Basic understanding of IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring and Alert Response: monitor performance and respond promptly.
• Basic Troubleshooting (Tier 1): triage connectivity, latency, and authentication issues.
• Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 engineers as required.
• Customer Help Desk Support: assist customers via calls/chats/tickets and document interactions.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain shift logs and incident reports.
• Compliance and Security: follow MFA and RADIUS usage; protect data.
• On-call work nights, weekends and holidays; no supervisory responsibilities.
