Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a NOC Network Administrator, Mid to maintain and optimize Windows and Linux servers within a federal IT environment. You will manage monitoring, logging, and ticketing platforms, coordinate with security teams, and ensure secure, auditable operations.

Responsibilities include patching, backups, incident documentation, and providing guidance to junior staff to maintain 24/7 operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in system administration or NOC roles with enterprise infra responsibility.
• Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux OS, including configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, system monitoring tools, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues and work under pressure in 24x7 operations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
• Willingness to work swing (2P-10:30P ET) or night (10P-6:30A) shifts for 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux servers in production environments, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance.
• Monitor and analyze system performance and resource utilization, respond to alerts, and address capacity and stability issues.
• Implement and maintain patching, backup, and recovery strategies and regularly validate restore procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across OS, virtualization, storage, and core services with cross-team coordination.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with security policies and audit requirements.
• Operate and maintain NOC tool infrastructure (monitoring, logging, ticketing) and ensure integration and availability.
• Document system architectures, baselines, changes, and incidents to enable repeatable operations and knowledge transfer.
• Provide tier 2/3 support and guidance to junior admins and NOC staff.
