Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a NOC Network Administrator, Mid, to maintain and secure enterprise infrastructure in a 24/7 federal IT environment. You will administer Windows and Linux servers, monitor performance, coordinate patching and backup, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years in system administration or NOC operations maintaining production infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux OS, including config and troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization, monitoring tools, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infra issues in a 24x7 setting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Willingness to work swing or night shifts for 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux servers in production, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to ensure availability and stability.
• Implement patching, backup, and recovery strategies and validate restores.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OS, virtualization, storage, and core services.
• Manage user accounts and access controls per security policies.
• Operate NOC tool infrastructure: monitoring, logging, ticketing, and integration.
• Document architectures, baselines, changes, and incident resolutions for repeatable operations.
• Provide tier 2/3 support and guidance to junior admins and NOC staff.
