Job summary

Southwest Airlines Co. is seeking a NOC Ops Services & Planning Specialist on a contract basis. You will support scheduling, payroll, and staffing in partnership with stakeholder groups to keep operations safe and efficient under a union contract framework.

Responsibilities include auditing schedules, payroll coordination, and data reporting while maintaining compliance. This role is 12 months and may transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of scheduling and payroll procedures and systems.
• Ability to analyze new information for problem-solving and decision-making.
• Proficient in intermediate computer analysis and common business software.
• Ability to apply work rules of collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to interface with people at all levels within the company.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Recognize, and clearly define problems to systematically analyze and evaluate alternatives and propose solutions
• Support and maintain standard annual, monthly, training, vacation, and daily schedules in the Company's scheduling system for Dispatchers, Meteorologists, ATC, Customer Planners, and Chiefs
• Develop working knowledge of payroll processes/requirements, actively partners with Company Teams to manage issues/discrepancies, and serves as a check-and-balance for payroll activities conducted by the Team
• Conduct audits, reporting, and ad hoc inquiries
• May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
