Job summary

Lumos is seeking a full-time NOC Engineer I – Outage Management to monitor network health, coordinate outages, and analyze performance across Voice, IP, Transport, and broadband platforms. The role operates in a 24/7 NOC on a 3rd shift schedule (11 pm to 7 am) and requires strong analytical skills and teamwork with engineering and operations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with FTTH and GPON technologies helpful.
• Ability to troubleshoot core and access networks and support MP LS/VPN routing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outages with cross-functional teams for rapid resolution.
• Perform event notifications for internal teams and customers.
• Assist with third party ticket creation and outage escalation.
• Support outage isolation and root cause analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues and monitor systems.
• Provide updates during outages and assist with action plans.
• Handle trouble tickets to restore service across Voice, IP, and broadband networks.
• Assist with Change Management and other NOC tasks.
