Job summary

Lyte Fiber, based in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced NOC Supervisor to lead the day-to-day Network Operations Center. You will plan workloads, assign tasks, and ensure on-time resolution to meet KPIs and SLAs.

You’ll also train and mentor the NOC team, develop procedures, and coordinate with customers during outages and maintenance activities. The role requires strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on improving network

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years in a NOC supervisory/leadership role.
• 5+ years NOC experience in event/alert, incident and change management for XGS-PON network (FTTX).
• On-site role overseeing the team operations and fostering collaboration.
• Extensive networking knowledge: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, security protocols.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, L2/L3 VPNs, IGP and BGP routing.
• Experience with XGS-PON based access networks and FTTX deployments.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• On-call rotation experience for 24/7 support.
• Identify process gaps and automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop network health and team KPI reports.
• Supervise NOC daily functions to maintain team proficiency.
• Define procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Directly communicate with customers about issues, outages, and maintenance.
• Maintain network documentation to ensure data integrity.
• Oversee Tier2 tickets and ensure SLA-compliant responses.
• Create, document, and maintain MOPs for team tasks.
• Lead and mentor the team, driving performance improvements.
• Escalate problems and coordinate resolution when needed.
• Assist with hiring and training of new personnel.
• Provide afterhours on-call support and drive resolution.
