Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a NOC Lead to support a federal program with the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Manassas, VA. The NOC Lead will oversee 24x7x365 Network Operations Center operations, ensuring availability, performance, security, and operational integrity of enterprise infrastructure and services.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with recent investigation completed within five years.
• 5–10 years of experience in IT Operations or related technical environments.
• 2–5 years of experience leading technical teams in a 24x7x365 NOC or similar ops.
• Experience managing incidents, outages, escalations, and SLA-driven operations.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, and related network tech.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments; familiar with the listed tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24x7x365 NOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, availability, and performance.
• Manage major incidents, outages, escalations, and service restoration per SLA.
• Oversee network performance optimization, change implementation, and risk mitigation.
• Supervise and mentor NOC analysts and engineers, ensuring effective handoffs and workload mgmt.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams; provide reporting and communications.
