Job summary

The ProActive Technology Group is seeking a NOC Engineer – Backup, Alerts & Patch Remediation to own the health of a managed client fleet. You’ll supervise backups, fix RMM alerts, and drive patching and vulnerability remediation with NinjaOne and other tools.

Daily duties include triaging backup jobs, refining alert conditions, performing restore tests, and producing audit-ready reports while maintaining security and operational standards across Windows Server, Hyper‑V/VMware, and cloud storage

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an MSP or IT ops environment.
• Hands-on Veeam B&R: jobs, repositories, backup copy, agents and SureBackup.
• Day-to-day RMM alert remediation (NinjaOne preferred): AV/EDR health, disk space, services, offline devices.
• Windows patch troubleshooting: failed cumulative updates, servicing stack and component store repair.
• Vulnerability remediation from scanner findings with verified fixes.
• Experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V/VMware, storage and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Triage failed and warning backup jobs daily across Veeam, agents and cloud copies.
• Fix storage, repository, network and upgrade issues via NinjaOne/ScreenConnect.
• Run restore tests and document audit-ready evidence.
• Maintain backup standards: 3-2-1, encryption, and no storage overrun.
• Run biannual backup audits and report findings.
• Own Halo tickets from alert to close with clear notes.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Work on CMMC client systems under their access controls and keep runbooks current in Hudu.
