Vail Health in Vail, CO is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for the nights shift to perform CLIA moderate and high complexity testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and more.

You will ensure quality control, instrument maintenance, and data entry into LIS, collaborating with physicians and infection control. Requires 3 years in a CLIA high complexity lab, MLS/MT certifications, and strong English skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years in a CLIA high complexity lab required.
• Must possess or obtain computer skills within 90 days to complete online requirements.
• Must have working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Performs CLIA moderate and high complex lab testing in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, coagulation, serology, and molecular diagnostics.
• Performs quality control, calibrations, validations, and records results.
• Maintains lab instrumentation, preventive maintenance, and trouble shoots equipment.
• Interprets data, reports findings to physicians and infection control, and enters data into LIS.
• Assists with training of new staff and ongoing education.
• Maintains competency and adheres to HIPAA and organizational values.
