Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Medical Technologist / MLS for the PVH Chemistry department in Fort Collins, Colorado. This full-time, nights position requires a bachelor’s degree and MT/MLS certification with licensure where required.

You will perform diagnostic testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely reporting of results in a fast-paced onsite laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist program.
• Certification as Medical Technologist (MT) by AMT or MT/MLS by ASCP or ASCP subspecialty certification; state licensure if required; certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic/analytic testing of specimens. Interprets, documents and reports test results.
• Performs quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Complies with good laboratory practice and regulatory requirements.
• Performs projects as assigned and serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
