Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist to perform high complexity testing and support diagnostic processes. This role requires adherence to CLIA guidelines, accurate use of instrumentation, and strong data interpretation.

Qualifications

Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
Bachelor’s Degree Medical Technology or related science field from an accredited institution or meet CLIA grandfathered medical technologist regulations.
1 year clinical laboratory internship.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific documents.
Ability to read, understand, and speak basic English.
Demonstrated ability to use computer systems and software programs.

Responsibilities

Performs high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing in the assigned department.
Uses advanced clinical laboratory instrumentation per SOPs.
Verifies and reports results with independent judgment.
Monitors results for reasonableness and critical values.
Conducts quality control and troubleshooting per SOPs.
Performs required departmental maintenance and participates in training of staff/students.
