Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks and to park trailers in designated areas. This role requires local city driving and compliance with all DOT regulations.

You will fuel, move, and secure equipment while maintaining safety and professionalism on the loading dock. The position includes night shifts Sunday 5:00 pm and Monday-Thursday 6:00 pm finish, with a starting pay of $24.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 12+ months tractor trailer experience required.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Valid CDL A license required.
• Must be 21 years old.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors, trailers, and freight are locked/secured.
• Maintain housekeeping in tractor and loading dock area; keep trailers clean.
• At end of shift secure equipment and complete paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
