Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to/from loading docks and park trailers in designated areas. You will drive locally, perform safety checks, and report issues in accordance with DOT rules.

This role emphasizes safe, courteous operation and teamwork within a fast-paced distribution environment. The position requires a CDL A, a valid DOT Health Card, and the ability to work assigned shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• CDL A required or current CDL A.
• DOT Health Card required; pre-employment checks and road tests may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor, truck, and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle paperwork related to offsite maintenance/inspection facilities.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured at all times.
• Complete necessary paperwork and assist with general housekeeping.
