Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System seeks a Security Guard for full-time night and weekend shifts. The role delivers security services for the Security and Safety Department, maintaining a Texas Private Security Level II license and supporting service excellence across all patient and staff interactions.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV, responding to emergencies, conducting inspections, logging reports, and assisting with incidents, court appearances, and escorts as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with no felony or Class A convictions in 10 years
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must hold or be eligible for Texas Peace Officers License or TCPS Commissioned Private Security Guard License
• Experience in arrest, search and seizure, interviewing techniques and interrogation preferred
• Handle with care class required and maintained yearly

Responsibilities

• Responds to radio, pager, telephone, or other communication; responds to emergency calls
• Responds to Panic Alarms and monitors CCTV
• Conducts periodic inspection tours and maintains logs
• Completes incident reports for criminal or civil situations
• Participates in life safety drills and mental health support requests
• Attend De-Escalation and Handle With Care trainings; assist mental health patients
• Provide escorts to law enforcement and testimony in court as needed
• Lockups/unlocks of doors daily; enforce parking and non-smoking policies
