Job summary

Hy-Vee in Quincy, IL is seeking a Service Manager to keep the store running smoothly by supervising the activities of employees across departments and ensuring customers receive prompt, friendly service. Night & Weekend Shifts Required.

You will lead by example, manage schedules, and address customer issues professionally. Responsibilities include training staff on policies, evaluating performance, enforcing safety, and coordinating merchandising, inventory, and displays to meet store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Two or more years of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them as needed.
• Lead by example and maintain positive employee relations across the store.
• Plan, prepare, and adjust work schedules; assign employees to duties and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Supervise activities across departments in the Department Manager's absence and assist as needed.
• Train workers on store policies and procedures; provide ongoing education for updated policies.
• Evaluate employee performance and recommend promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment; handle accident reporting as needed.
• Order merchandise, verify deliveries, ensure quality, and report discrepancies.
