Hy-Vee is seeking a Service Meat Clerk to provide friendly customer service in the Meat and Seafood Departments. You will wrap, weigh, label, stock items, and assist customers with locating products and processing orders.

You will maintain sanitation standards, rotate stock for freshness, and cooperate with team members to ensure a smooth shopping experience. Previous food service or grocery experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; food safety training preferred.
• Customer service and teamwork skills are essential in a fast-paced grocery setting.
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Wrap, weigh, label, and stock products to ensure attractive display.
• Assist customers by guiding to products and handling requests.
• Take customer orders over the phone and in person, and relay feedback to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cases, coolers and work areas.
• Report out-of-stock items to the appropriate personnel and help restock as needed.
