Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Meat Clerk to join the Meat department. You will provide prompt, friendly service, wrap and label products, stock cases, and assist customers in locating items, including seafood prep.

This non-exempt role requires ability to lift heavy items, follow sanitation guidelines, and work in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Meat Department Manager and collaborate with store staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and record figures.
• High School diploma or equivalent with food safety training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Wrapps, weighs, and labels product.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products and stocking cases.
• Maintains sanitation and organizes coolers; monitors product freshness and out-of-stock items.
• Works with team to ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
