Job summary

City of Montebello is seeking a flexible grounds maintenance worker to perform unskilled to semi-skilled tasks across parks, golf course, and facilities. You will operate mowers, edgers, weed whackers, and other equipment, assisting with weed abatement and general upkeep.

Shifts include nights and weekends and may vary by department needs. Prior experience in maintenance and safe work practices is preferred. This position supports city facilities and public spaces with hands-on labor.

Qualifications

• General tools and equipment used in maintenance, repair and landscape work.
• Operation and maintenance of power driven hand tools and light vehicles including mowers, edgers, and other landscape maintenance equipment.
• Safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of unskilled to semi-skilled tasks in maintenance, repair and upkeep of City facilities.
• Operate basic and power-driven tools and light vehicles as directed.
• Assist in keeping parks, golf course, and recreation areas clean and safe.
