Job summary

US Foods Wixom is seeking dedicated Warehouse Team Members to safely and accurately select customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and move products to the dock area. You will use order selecting software and operate an electric pallet jack to meet weekly productivity and accuracy targets.

We offer a strong management team, room for growth, and incentive pay on top of the base rate. Sunday–Thursday nights start at 5 pm; be prepared for weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and operate reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday; weekends/holidays as needed.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity or role is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred; experience with pallet jacks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product selection and check for damage.
• Deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, remove empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring To The Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferredExperience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is at $28.26/hour. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality.
