Job summary

US Foods is seeking warehouse team members to safely and accurately pick customer orders and build pallets for weekly productivity goals. Start rate is $32.77 per hour with overtime opportunities and incentive pay based on productivity.

Shift details: Sunday-Thursday nights, 4:30PM start, 10–12 hours per day, 50–60 hours per week. You will perform pre-shift checks, operate electric pallet jacks, and ensure correct items are loaded for dock delivery.

Qualifications

• Read and communicate in English to attend trainings and safety coaching.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sunday–Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high-endurance or highly physical work is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jacks or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build/wrap pallets.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets using order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product selection and damage-free status.
• Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink-wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles, remove debris, and return pallets/jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $32.77and $40.85.

This role may alsoreceive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, shift differential, and freezer premiums.
