Job summary

US Foods in Plymouth, MN is seeking Warehouse Team Members to safely select customer orders, wrap pallets, and deliver to docks. You will perform equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack on a 5pm start, Sunday to Friday, with 10–14 hour shifts.

Requirements include English literacy, ability to work long shifts in a multi-temperature environment, and prior warehouse experience with heavy lifting up to 80+ lbs. OT and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Reads and communicates in English to attend trainings and complete reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sunday to Thursday with possible weekends/holidays.
• Experience with high endurance or physical activity is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely select customer orders and build/wrap pallets to meet productivity standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software.
• Verify correct product, damage-free condition, and accurate pallet delivery to docks.
• Collaborate to clear aisles, remove debris, and return pallets and jacks to charging area.

Pay starting at $35.45 per hour.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $35.45 and $39.25.

As applicable, this role may receive overtime compensation, shift differential, freezer premium.
