Job summary

US Foods is seeking Warehouse Team Members to safely pick customer orders, build and wrap pallets, and deliver to the correct dock area. Pre-shift checks and operation of electric pallet jacks are required, with attention to accuracy and product integrity.

The role emphasizes endurance and physical activity, with night shifts typically Sunday through Thursday, and occasional weekend/holiday work. Lifting 20–80+ lbs, high-speed, accurate order processing is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings, hold conversations, read labels and enter information on reports.
• Ability to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders; build and wrap pallets to meet productivity/accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets using order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product is selected and undamaged.
• Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Clear aisles of debris and return pallet jacks after use.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• _ Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed _
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will be required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $24.04/hr. This role will also receive overtime and incentive compensation based on productivity and quality.
