Job summary

US Foods is hiring for night-shift selectors in our warehouse to safely and efficiently pick customer orders, build pallets, and prepare them for shipping.

You will work Sunday through Thursday nights, starting at 5 PM, with 10–12 hour shifts and overtime opportunities. Eligible benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English for trainings, safety coaching, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Safely select customer orders and build pallets to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift checks and operate electric pallet jacks.
• Move products from racks to pallets as directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Verify correct items, damage-free condition, and accurate quantities.
• Deliver pallets to the correct dock area and wrap palletized orders.
• Collaborate to keep aisles clear and return equipment to charging areas.

Our Selectors make $27.01 per hour + Incentive pay and overtime!

With our Flex Scheduling options, a true work-life balance is within reach at US Foods! Multiple full-time (night shift) flexible schedules available, options will include 5-day, 4-day and 3-day workweeks.

• 5-day workweek (2 days off)
• 4-day workweek (3 days off)
• 3-day workweek (4 days off)

(Current schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 5pm start & all shifts offer 2 consecutive days off)

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring To The Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $27.01 and $65

As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality.
