Job summary

US Foods is hiring for a Warehouse Team role, offering a start around $23.74/hour with incentives based on productivity. The schedule includes night shifts Sun-Thu with varying start times and potential changes for business needs.

Candidates must be able to lift 20-80+ lbs and work in multi-temperature environments, with benefits and ongoing training. Typical duties include selecting customer orders, building pallets, conducting safety checks, and operating pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and follow coaching.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, including weekends/holidays as required.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity advisable.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that the correct product has been selected and is damage free.
• Deliver products to the correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets from slots, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment

• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23 and $28.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, freezer premium.
