Job summary

US Foods is seeking Warehouse Team Members for the night shift in Portland, OR. The role involves picking customer orders, building pallets, and delivering to the dock, with required night shifts Sun–Thu and potential weekend work.

Compensation starts at about $30.01 per hour, with additional benefits depending on experience and location. Candidates should be capable of heavy lifting, operating a pallet jack, and working in a multi-temperature warehouse.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings, hold conversations, read labels and enter information on reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sun–Thu; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet.
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wrap palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area.

SCHEDULE : Night Shift

• Sun -Fri availability

• 4:30-5:30 PM start times

• Work until finished with nightly orders

We help you make it! Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $30.01/hour.

• As applicable, this role will alsoreceive: overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, shift differential, freezer premium.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday – Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred
