Job summary

Staples is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our World Class Supply Chain Team. You may work in one of six areas: Bulk/Material Handling, Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, or Shipping, with potential cross-training as needed.

You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment to move product up to 100 lbs, adhering to safety procedures. Must be 18+, English basics, and able to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment to pick product up to 100 lbs and move it within the warehouse following safety procedures.
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside the facility.
• Move products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment as needed.
• Confirm accuracy of received products and communicate discrepancies to colleagues to resolve issues.
• Unload trucks manually and palletize products while operating equipment as required.
• Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets and prepare for truck loading.
