Job summary

Staples is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Portland, OR with a 10:00pm–6:30am Sunday-Thursday schedule. You may work in one of six areas: Bulk/Material Handling Equipment Operator, Warehouse Porter, Replenishment, Receiving/Putaway/Returns, Returns, and Shipping, with expected safety and accuracy commitments.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment up to 100 lbs, maintain a clean and safe work area, and collaborate with teammates to move and package goods efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months related experience in a warehouse environment; or equivalent training/education/experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen where legally permissible.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• If hired full-time, willingness to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift.
• Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 70–100 lb boxes by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes and be able to stand/walk 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, electric pallet jacks) to move product safely.
• Assist with general cleaning and maintenance while following safety procedures.
• Perform replenishment, receiving/putaway/returns, and shipping tasks as needed.
• Verify accuracy of product and resolve discrepancies with colleagues and customers.
• Unload trucks, palletize products, and ensure a safe, clean workspace.
• Adhere to safety culture and adapt to a changing role within the SC2/SC1 scope.
