Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Parking and Transportation Services seeks a Sure Walk Coordinator to manage a late-night, student-facing safety program on campus. You will develop, measure, and improve services, coordinate staff, and ensure compliance with policies, while delivering excellent customer service.

This role oversees hiring and training, nightly vehicle operations, and collaboration with multiple departments to meet rider and staff needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus three+ years coordinating programs or student-affairs work and handling complex administrative decisions.
• Ability to lead Sure Walk/UT Night Rides staff (primarily student employees).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; organized multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring, training, monthly staff meetings, and supervise staff.
• Drive designated vehicles on a nightly basis, including vans and carts.
• Accompany staff and students on nightly walks/rides across campus and West Campus.
• Develop and support Sure Walk program operations and related projects.
• Maintain policy knowledge and incident response protocols; report incidents promptly.
• Plan and co-facilitate staff meetings; represent the program at UT and community events.
