Job summary

Huston-Tillotson University seeks a Van Shuttle Driver to transport students, faculty and staff across campus and to off-campus locations, following routes and safety rules. You’ll provide exceptional service, assist passengers, and keep accurate trip records while maintaining vehicles in good condition.

The role requires a valid Texas license, a clean driving record, and flexibility for evenings or weekends; salary is $19 per hour for a part-time position within campus operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Training in transportation or customer service is a plus.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record. Ability to obtain required endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate university vehicles to shuttle students between campus and off-campus locations.
• Provide safe, courteous, efficient service and assist with onboarding/offboarding.
• Maintain trip records, mileage, fuel usage, incidents; report issues to campus safety director.
• Inspect vehicle condition and report safety or mechanical concerns.
• Support shuttle coordination for events or route changes; adhere to regulations.
