Job summary

AdventHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

You will collaborate with radiologists, prepare accurate EMR/PACS documentation, and uphold infection control while adhering to department protocols.

Requirements include ARDMS/RDMS credentials, BLS, strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Ultrasound physics and anatomy knowledge required.
Experience with Radiology software and PACS.
Must maintain licenses and continuing education.
BLS certification and ongoing credentialing required.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders.
Verify patient identity and exam history prior to scanning.
Position patients and optimize images and data.
Maintain EMR and PACS documentation.
Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
Collaborate with radiologists for imaging and care.
Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean and ready.
Sterilize transducers and follow infection control.
