Job summary

UCHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. This onsite role performs diagnostic sonography according to scope, standards, and organizational policies, working nights with a full-time schedule.

You will review history and orders, educate patients, prepare equipment, and ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to safety standards. The role offers a comprehensive rewards program and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, orders, and schedules procedures; educates patient on procedures and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope.
• Monitors patient condition, prepares equipment, selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs QC on equipment; troubleshoots malfunctions and reports issues.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and ensures image quality.
• Communicates scan results and may work with Radiology students.

Education

Ultrasound/Diagnostic Medical Sonography program graduate

RDMS/RVT/RDCS or ARRT(S) certification

BLS/CPR certification
