Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton in Colorado seeks a PRN ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in line with provider orders and established protocols. You will verify patient identity, position patients and equipment, and optimize images to support radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include maintaining EMR/PACS documentation, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and privacy across all ages. ARDMS/ARRT eligibility and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and Doppler techniques.
• Experience with EMR/PACS and basic MS Office.
• Ability to communicate with patients across all ages and explain procedures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtains necessary clinical history prior to scanning.
• Positions patients and equipment appropriately and manipulates transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, heart rates, and other diagnostic data.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Explains procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, cooperation, and privacy throughout the exam.
