Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a logistics supervisor to manage driver relationships and optimize loads across origins, destinations, and freight types.

You will work with dedicated and associate logistics managers to meet home time, payroll, and equipment needs while maintaining strong safety and service metrics. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years in fleet management and 6-12 months of supervisory experience, with solid organizational and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics, and/or 2–3 years of fleet management/transportation experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships addressing home time, payroll, equipment issues and safety.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads by origin, destination, freight type, miles and stops.
• Understand and align with customer service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Fill and maintain a full driver board with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and Operations Manager.
• Attend shifts timely and regularly per supervisor scheduling.
