Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Telesitter to remotely monitor patients requiring continuous observation during night shifts. The role focuses on observing and reporting behaviors that may affect therapies and safety, while documenting findings in the medical record and communicating with the care team.

Under supervision, you will ensure patient rights, protect confidentiality, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to address patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Complete Wellstar training and initial competency assessment within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients continuously and document behaviors every 15 minutes for behavioral health patients and every 2 hours for medical patients.
• Notify facilities care partners and supervisors of patient status.
• Monitor EPIC dashboard for new assignments.
• Redirect patient behavior verbally and coordinate care with the nursing team.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and positive patient experience.
