Job summary

Meijer is seeking a capable store leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service, and ensure store standards while maximizing sales and controlling shrink.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, performance management, and implementing Meijer initiatives to enhance the shopping experience and safety, with emphasis on consistent, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of related retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proven ability to manage staffing and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach staff to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Provide career paths and development for team members.
• Address disciplinary actions and recommendations for discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales, and controlling shrink.
• Ensure training completion and adherence to standards.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming store environment and high service levels.
