Job summary

Meijer in Michigan seeks a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise team members across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service, manage staffing, and ensure store standards and profitability.

You will promote career development, ensure safety, and maintain a positive image while delivering fast, friendly service to customers. Prior retail management experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service flows.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning and staff development.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service andMeijer standards.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained and communicates Meijer initiatives in meetings.
• Maintains store appearance and product presentation to Meijer standards.
• Spends time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure excellent service.
• Promotes a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
