Job summary

Banner University Medical Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join the Clinical Care Operations unit in Phoenix. You will coordinate staff coverage and bed placement across a Level I trauma hospital and provide administrative support for the department.

The role operates on a full‑time night shift (6pm–6:30am) with weekend/holiday rotations and night diff of 18%, plus $1/hour weekend differential. You will navigate a fast‑paced environment using multiple software platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a healthcare office setting helpful.
• Medical terminology knowledge and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
• Proficient in commonly used office software and hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility‑wide staffing and patient/bed placement.
• Develop weekly schedules and adjust staffing as census varies.
• Enter, maintain, and archive data across software platforms.
• Answer calls, provide information, screen inquiries, and liaise with departments.
• Identify problems and communicate with nursing leadership.
